For a certain period, Burundians have managed to immerse themselves in the systems of trading trees and other forest products, which has encouraged the planting of thousands of trees around the sources of water on the livieres, the rivulets.It seems to me like good practice, surely Burundi has been characterized for the last 20 years by wars that have destroyed forests and natural reserves.Unfortunately more than 85% of the trees planted around these water sources are species harmful to the water sources because they consume a large amount of water.Since 2017, PVC Burundi has started raising awareness through the events it organizes, during this year, awareness raising will continue from June 2022, to allow communities to know what are the good practices that should be implemented and the good species to plant.
